These pieces are fragile and must be handled by the stem only! Especially when placing it into the cake
Acrylic is generally considered food safe, while wood is not. In order to be safe no matter the choice, it is recommended to wrap your cake topper stem in plastic wrap before it is placed inside the cake. You can also place a piece of straw over it, or dip it into food safe wax.
